Officers and emergency crews were sent to the intersection area around 8 p.m. after reports of a collision involving two vehicles, police said. Initial scanner traffic indicated one of the vehicles left the scene before officers arrived, according to the report.
A white Toyota Camry remained at the scene, blocking the eastbound lane of West Clearwater Avenue near North Volland Street. The Camry's driver reported chest and head pain, though airbag deployment was not reported, according to dispatch information. First responders evaluated the driver at the scene and worked to manage traffic in the area.
