Streetsboro, OH (August 24, 2026) – A fatal head-on collision on SR 43 claimed the life of a 29-year-old Kent man early on Saturday, August 22. His car crossed the center line and crashed into a tractor-trailer shortly before 2:30 a.m.
According to Streetsboro police, the man was driving a 2012 white Nissan Altima southbound when it crossed into the northbound lanes. The Nissan struck a semi driven by a 55-year-old Akron man. The Nissan driver died at the scene. The truck driver had no visible injuries. The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of his family.
SR 43 was closed between Ethan Road and Crane Road at the city’s north limits and Frost Road while the crash investigation was conducted and the vehicles were removed. The roadway reopened at 7:40 a.m.
