Montgomery, AL (August 24, 2026) – A man and a woman were killed, and another man was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday morning, August 22, on southbound Interstate 85. The crash happened around 2:15 a.m. between Mitylene and Taylor Road.
Montgomery police and Montgomery Fire/Rescue responded to the crash and found one of the vehicles on fire. The male and female drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. The identities of those involved were not released. The incident remains under review.
