How Residential Fires Are Investigated
When a fatal house fire occurs, investigators work to determine where and how the fire started. This often involves examining burn patterns, electrical systems, and potential ignition sources.
Fire officials also review witness statements and emergency response details to better understand the timeline of events.
These investigations can take time, especially when structural damage is severe, but they are essential in identifying causes and preventing future incidents.
