Knoxville, TN (January 10, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched on Friday afternoon to a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Interstate 40 East near mile marker 383, close to Papermill Dr in Knoxville. The incident occurred around 12:43 p.m. and involved a reported collision requiring multiple emergency units.

Squad 20 and Tanker 1 were among the first to arrive on scene, confirming the crash and initiating response procedures along the busy interstate corridor. At least one individual was reported injured, though the extent of those injuries has not yet been released by officials.
