Knoxville, TN (January 10, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Friday afternoon on the westbound ramp of Interstate 640 near Western Avenue in Knoxville. The incident prompted a multi-unit response, including Squad 14 and Tanker 16.

The crash occurred at approximately 2:06 p.m. Emergency responders confirmed the location as the I-640 West ramp near the Western Ave cross street. Tactical channel six was activated for coordinated response operations.

While the number of vehicles involved and the severity of injuries were not immediately disclosed, medical personnel were on site to assist the injured and assess the situation. Traffic in the area was temporarily impacted as crews worked to manage the scene.
