Lake County, FL (January 12, 2026) – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash in Lake County. The Florida Highway Patrol is actively investigating the incident, which occurred on County Road 455.

According to troopers, the rider of a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R600 was heading northbound when they lost control while approaching a curve. The motorcycle veered off the right side of the road, causing the rider to be ejected from the vehicle.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after the crash and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The identity of the rider has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

FHP has confirmed that the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the rider during this difficult time.
