LAS VEGAS, Clark County, Nev., Sept. 23, 2026 — A scooter rider suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash on Monday evening, September 21, at West Spring Mountain Road and Cimarron Road, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The crash involved the rider and a passenger vehicle traveling on Spring Mountain Road.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the crash happened just after 5 p.m. The police said a 39-year-old woman was driving a 2021 Chevy Camaro westbound on Spring Mountain Road and entered the intersection at Cimarron Road on a solid green light. At the same time, the scooter rider was reportedly crossing Spring Mountain Road from the northeast corner toward the southeast corner, according to police.
Investigators said the rider moved into the path of the Camaro, leading to the collision. The scooter was non-electric.
Medical crews took the rider to UMC's Trauma Center, where his injuries are considered life-threatening, police said. The driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, according to the department.
