What Are the Most Common Causes of Two-Car Crashes at Las Vegas Intersections?
Las Vegas sees a high volume of intersection crashes year-round, largely due to the city’s heavy traffic, wide roadways, and mix of local and visitor drivers who may be unfamiliar with the area. Busy corridors like Boulder Highway carry significant traffic at all hours, and afternoon crashes are common as midday congestion builds. Factors such as failure to yield, running red lights, and misjudging turning distances contribute to many of these collisions.
When multiple occupants from both vehicles require hospital care after a two-car crash, it often indicates a moderate to significant impact. Nevada traffic investigators are typically brought in to gather physical evidence, review any available camera footage, and interview witnesses. Their findings help establish which vehicle had the right of way and whether any traffic violations contributed to the crash.
