New Haven, CT (August 28, 2026) – Emergency crews responded on Wednesday night, August 26, after a pedestrian was struck in the area of State Street and May Street in New Haven. The incident was reported at approximately 9:38 p.m.
New Haven police, fire, and EMS personnel were called to the scene, and drivers were advised to avoid the area while responders worked.
An update issued shortly afterward indicated that police made contact with the vehicle operator at a 7-Eleven near State Street and Ferry Street.
The crash remains under investigation. We hope the injured pedestrian has a speedy recovery.
