Why Rollover Crashes Often Result in Serious Injuries
Rollover crashes are among the most dangerous types of vehicle collisions due to the violent motion involved. When a vehicle rolls over multiple times, occupants may experience strong forces that can lead to serious injuries.
These types of crashes can be caused by several factors, including high speeds, sharp turns, or collisions at intersections. The risk of injury increases if a vehicle loses stability or strikes another object during the rollover.
Intersections are common locations for serious accidents because vehicles often cross paths from multiple directions. Drivers who fail to yield, misjudge traffic, or attempt sudden maneuvers can increase the likelihood of a crash.
Seatbelt use, attentive driving, and following traffic signals can help reduce the risk of serious injuries during these types of incidents.
