Norfolk, VA (June 13, 2026) – A crash resulting in life-threatening injuries closed part of Lafayette Boulevard early Friday morning, June 12, in Norfolk. Emergency units responded to the scene after receiving a call at about 3:15 a.m.
The closure affected Lafayette Boulevard between Tidewater Drive and the base of the bridge near Villa Circle. Drivers were advised to avoid the 1600 block of Lafayette Boulevard and use alternate routes, including Willow Wood Drive and Lindenwood Avenue, while crews worked at the scene. Lafayette Boulevard was reopened to all traffic at approximately 8:40 a.m.
