Fairfax, IA (June 13, 2026) – Authorities responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash that left one person injured on Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Fairfax.
Emergency units responded at approximately 4:11 p.m. on June 11 to Williams Boulevard and 80th Street after reports of a collision. At the scene, responders found a Nissan Pathfinder with front-end damage in the south ditch of Williams Boulevard and a Chevy Blazer with damage along the shoulder of 80th Street.
According to authorities, 63-year-old Diana Barre of Fairfax was driving the Nissan Pathfinder when she failed to yield while entering the intersection. Her vehicle then collided with a southbound Chevy Blazer. Barre sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the Chevy Blazer was not injured in the crash.
The police cited Barre for failure to yield upon entering a through highway; they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
