Frequently Asked Questions
What injuries are most common in car accidents like this one?
Minor-injury crashes often involve whiplash, cuts, bruising, or strains from the sudden jolt of impact. Even crashes that look minor from the outside can cause injuries that take a day or two to fully show up.
What typically causes two-vehicle crashes on highways like SR-138?
Common factors include misjudged turns, following too closely, distraction, or one driver failing to yield. Investigators have not released a cause for this crash.
Does speed make a difference in crash severity?
Yes. Higher speeds mean more force at impact and less time for drivers to react, which generally leads to more serious injuries even in two-vehicle collisions.
What to Do After a Car Accident in Llano, CA
If you're involved in a crash on a highway like SR-138, try to move your vehicle to the shoulder if it's safe to do so and turn on hazard lights. Check yourself and any passengers for injuries before stepping out into traffic.
