What Happens After a Commercial Building Explosion
Explosions involving propane tanks can cause widespread structural damage. Propane is highly flammable, and when tanks are exposed to heat or impact, they may rupture or ignite.
A full building collapse increases the risk of people becoming trapped inside. Search and rescue teams use specialized equipment to locate victims amid unstable debris.
Shelter-in-place orders are often issued when there is concern about air quality, additional explosions, or falling debris. These measures help protect nearby residents while crews assess hazards and stabilize the area.
