Long Beach, CA (January 4, 2026) – A collision with reported injuries occurred on I-710 southbound just north of 6th St in Long Beach, prompting a response from local police and emergency medical crews. The incident was reported at approximately 10:43 p.m.
Medics and fire crews from the Long Beach Fire Department, including rescue and ambulance units, arrived at the scene to assist injured parties. Individuals involved in the crash were treated for a variety of injuries, though the total number of people hurt and the extent of their injuries have not been officially confirmed.
Dispatch audio indicated a coordinated response involving multiple emergency vehicles, suggesting the incident required a significant level of support. Police units were also dispatched to assist with scene management and traffic control along the affected portion of I-710.
