Why Do Motorcycle and Truck Crashes Often Cause Severe Injuries?
Crashes involving motorcycles and large trucks can be especially dangerous due to the size and weight difference between the vehicles. Riders have little protection compared to occupants in enclosed vehicles.
Visibility is another factor that can contribute to these collisions. Large trucks may have blind spots that make it harder to see smaller vehicles like motorcycles.
High-speed roads, such as major highways, can also increase the severity of injuries. The force of impact is often greater when vehicles are traveling at higher speeds.
