Los Angeles, CA (January 24, 2026) – An accident involving multiple victims occurred Friday afternoon in South Los Angeles when a vehicle reportedly struck several individuals and motorcycles along the side of the road. The incident took place near the intersection of E 35th St and Avalon Blvd at approximately 3:50 p.m. on January 23, according to dispatch audio.
First responders from Los Angeles Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene to provide emergency care to those injured in the crash. Multiple people sustained a variety of injuries, and several victims were believed to be motorcyclists. Paramedics evaluated and treated the injured before transporting some to local hospitals. The full extent of injuries has not been confirmed.
The suspect vehicle, described as a white work van, reportedly fled the scene and was last seen heading in the direction of Jefferson Blvd. Law enforcement is actively investigating the crash as a possible hit-and-run involving serious injuries. Authorities are working to identify the driver and determine the exact sequence of events that led to the collision.
The intersection, located in a densely populated area near residential buildings and local businesses, was temporarily closed to traffic as emergency crews worked to assist the injured and collect evidence.
