Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do after a crash involving a pickup truck or larger vehicle?
Call 911, stay at the scene if it's safe, and get medical care even if injuries seem minor. Exchange information and let police document the scene before vehicles are moved, if possible.
What are common injuries in head-on collisions?
Head-on crashes commonly cause chest and abdominal trauma, broken bones, head injuries and spinal injuries, since both vehicles' forward motion combines on impact.
Why do pickups and larger vehicles need more room to stop or maneuver?
Heavier vehicles carry more momentum and take longer to slow down or steer out of danger, so drivers sharing the road with them should leave extra following distance and avoid sudden lane changes nearby.
Can driver fatigue play a role in early-morning crashes like this one?
Yes. Crashes before dawn commonly involve drowsy or distracted driving, though fatigue has not been cited as a factor in this crash and remains under investigation.
