Louisville, KY (March 29, 2026) – A man lost his life on Friday night, March 27, after being struck in a hit-and-run crash in Louisville.
Emergency units were dispatched around 8:37 p.m. to the area of Southern Pkwy and W Evelyn Ave, near Churchill Downs. When crews arrived, they found an adult man lying unconscious in the roadway.
Investigators reported that the man had been walking in the area when a vehicle hit him. The driver did not remain at the scene and left before help arrived.
First responders attempted life-saving efforts at the scene. Despite those efforts, the man was pronounced dead shortly after.
No description of the vehicle involved has been released at this time.
