Louisville, KY (January 9, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched to a crash with reported injuries and possible entrapment on January 8 at the intersection of Algonquin Pkwy and S 16th St in Louisville.
The collision occurred at approximately 6:36 a.m. and involved a gray Buick and a red station wagon. According to dispatch information, a female occupant in the red vehicle appeared to be trapped following the impact, prompting a rescue response from fire and EMS crews.
Crews worked at the scene to assess injuries and assist the woman, who was later removed from the vehicle and provided with medical care. The extent of her injuries has not been publicly confirmed. No additional injuries were reported at the time.
Authorities temporarily restricted traffic in the area while they managed the scene and initiated an investigation into the cause of the crash.
