What Happens When a Rear-End Crash Occurs at High Speeds?
Rear-end crashes at high speeds can result in serious injuries due to the force of impact. When one vehicle strikes another from behind at a high rate of speed, the sudden stop can cause injuries to those inside both vehicles, even if they were properly restrained.
These crashes often happen when a driver fails to slow down in time for traffic ahead, especially near intersections or traffic signals. The difference in speed between the two vehicles can increase the severity of damage and injuries.
In many cases, passengers in the struck vehicle may experience neck or back pain due to the sudden jolt. Children and older adults can be more vulnerable, even in crashes that seem minor at first.
