How Head-on Crashes Can Result in Serious Injuries
Head-on collisions are among the more severe types of roadway crashes because the forces from two vehicles moving toward each other can be significant. The level of injury may depend on factors such as vehicle speed, vehicle size, seat belt use, and available safety features.
After this type of collision, investigators may review vehicle damage, roadway conditions, and other evidence to determine what caused the crash. Safety features such as airbags and properly used seat belts can help reduce the risk of severe harm during a serious traffic collision.
