Lakeside, CA (June 23, 2026) – Several people were injured in a major traffic collision involving three vehicles on Sunday night on northbound SR-67 near Mapleview St in Lakeside.
According to dispatch records, the crash was reported at approximately 10:21 p.m. on June 22. Initial reports indicated a dark-colored sedan was stopped in a traffic lane before the incident escalated into a multi-vehicle collision.
Authorities later confirmed that three vehicles were involved, including a Ford Edge and a black Mercedes-Benz. Dispatch updates described the crash as a head-on collision, and one person was reported trapped inside a vehicle. Emergency crews responded to the scene and worked to free the occupant.
All northbound lanes of SR-67 were temporarily blocked while first responders assisted those involved and cleared damaged vehicles. One unidentified woman was reportedly transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital while still being extracted from a vehicle.
