What Happens When a Pedestrian Is Struck by Multiple Vehicles?
Crashes involving pedestrians and multiple vehicles can leave several sources of evidence at a scene. Investigators may examine vehicle damage, roadway marks, debris, surveillance footage, and witness accounts to determine how the collision unfolded. The position of each vehicle can also help establish the sequence of events.
Medical records may provide information about the severity of a pedestrian’s injuries. Investigators may also compare physical evidence with descriptions of vehicles involved in the crash. When a vehicle leaves the scene, details such as its color, make, model, and body style can help distinguish it from other traffic.
