Whiteland, IN (August 12, 2026) – In an afternoon collision at the intersection of U.S. 31 and Whiteland Road, a man was killed, and another person was taken to a hospital on Monday, August 10, in Whiteland. The accident happened around 4 p.m. and involved two vehicles.
Officers arrived and found one of the drivers, a male, dead at the scene. His identity was withheld pending notification of his relatives. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
The intersection was closed while investigators worked to reconstruct the crash. A crew from the Indiana Department of Transportation was also expected at the scene.
