Bronson, KS (July 17, 2026) – A 56-year-old man was taken to a hospital after a head-on collision on US-54 about one mile east of Bronson in Bourbon County early on Thursday morning, July 16. The crash was reported at 6:33 a.m.
Timothy G. Anderson of Auburn was driving a 2013 Ford Edge eastbound when the vehicle went off the right side of the road. Anderson overcorrected, returned to the highway, went off the road again into the ditch, then came back onto the roadway sideways before crossing the center line and striking a westbound 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer head-on.
Anderson was taken to an area hospital with suspected minor injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck. The Trailblazer’s driver, 33-year-old Caitlin Leigh Nading of Fort Scott, was not hurt and was also wearing a seatbelt. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles. The accident remains under active review.
