Wichita, KS (July 17, 2026) – A 66-year-old man was seriously hurt after being struck by a vehicle near the 8900 block of West Kellogg in Wichita on Wednesday morning, July 15. Emergency crews were called to the area after reports indicated the crash may have occurred approximately 30 minutes before anyone notified authorities.
The man was found inside a room at the location, where staff believed he had been struck by a vehicle. He was conscious but suffering from significant injuries when emergency units assessed him. He was taken to Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
Surveillance footage of the crash is believed to exist and may help investigators determine exactly what happened. Details about where the collision occurred relative to the building, what led up to the wreck, and whether the driver remained at the scene had not been released as of this report. The accident remains under active investigation.
