The incident occurred around 6:25 p.m. on May 26. According to preliminary information, the victim was hit by a vehicle and became pinned underneath, requiring extrication by FDNY personnel. Emergency crews removed the man from beneath the vehicle before he was taken to Northwell Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze with injuries described as moderate. Police reported that he was alert and conscious at the time of transport.
