Warrenton, MO (August 18, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash left a 45-year-old man moderately injured on eastbound Interstate 70 at mile marker 199.0 in Warren County. The crash happened around 3:46 p.m. on Sunday, August 16.
The man was driving a 2009 Cadillac when it struck the rear of a 2014 Mazda CX-5. Both vehicles were traveling eastbound when the Cadillac driver tried to avoid the Mazda by moving left, according to the crash report. The front right side of the Cadillac hit the back left side of the Mazda. The Cadillac then overcorrected and overturned.
The 45-year-old driver was taken by ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis for treatment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The incident remains under review by troopers. Our thoughts are with the injured driver as he recovers.
