Huron County, OH (August 19, 2026) – A 49-year-old man was killed on Monday evening after two pickup trucks collided at Peru Olena Rd and Old State Rd in Bronson Township.
The accident happened around 8:29 p.m. on August 18. An 18-year-old man was driving a Ford F-350 westbound on Peru Olena Rd when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign.
The F-350 struck a 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 traveling southbound on Old State Rd. The Ram was driven by Timothy Williams of Greenwich, who was pronounced dead at the site.
Both vehicles continued off the roadway toward the southwest, where the Ram also struck two traffic signposts. The 18-year-old driver was taken to Fisher Titus Hospital with minor injuries.
The intersection and nearby roads were temporarily closed while investigators investigated the wreck. The investigation remains ongoing, with the circumstances surrounding the collision still being reviewed.
