Beatrice, AL (July 21, 2026) – A head-on collision on Sunday morning on Alabama 265 near Beatrice claimed the life of a Monroeville man in Monroe County. Emergency responders were dispatched to the crash scene at approximately 7:30 a.m. on July 19.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), 35-year-old Christopher O. Hill of Monroeville was driving a 2010 Ford Crown Victoria when it collided head-on with a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 60-year-old Joshua Williams of Camden.
Hill suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released information regarding Williams’ condition.
The collision occurred near the 1-mile marker on Alabama 265, about one mile north of Beatrice. Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details have been released.
