Bellefontaine, OH (August 15, 2026) – A Logan County man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of SR-235 and CR-13 on Thursday morning, August 13, at approximately 5:44 a.m. The collision happened about 10 miles west of Bellefontaine.
According to the preliminary investigation, a Ram pickup was traveling north on SR-235 when a 2012 Honda Odyssey entered the intersection from CR-13. The Honda driver, identified as 51-year-old Jason Honeycutt, failed to stop at the posted stop sign and collided with the pickup.
Both vehicles left the roadway and came to rest in a gravel driveway on the west side of the road. The Ram driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, while Honeycutt was pronounced dead at the scene. Heavy fog is believed to have contributed to the crash, which remains under investigation. The incident remains under review as investigators work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
