Orange County, FL (June 25, 2026) – A man in his 70s lost his life after a small single-engine airplane crashed near Bob White Airfield in the Zellwood area of Orange County.
According to first responders, the aircraft went down near the airfield, resulting in a small fire at the crash site. Emergency crews quickly extinguished the flames before they could spread beyond the immediate area.
Authorities confirmed that a man in his 70s was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of family members.
Officials have not disclosed what may have caused the aircraft to crash. Investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and have launched an investigation into the incident.
