Piney Point, MD (August 31, 2026) – A man was seriously injured Saturday morning, August 29, after a concrete wall fell onto him at a home under construction on Piney Point Rd.
Emergency units were called around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, to the 16100 block near Ball Point Rd for a technical rescue. Initial reports stated that a Bobcat struck the roughly 10-foot-tall concrete wall, causing it to collapse onto a male worker.
Crews confirmed the man was not trapped beneath the structure. He was awake and breathing but in severe pain, and a medical helicopter was requested because of the extent of his injuries.
The patient was flown to UMD Capital Region Medical Center for further treatment. Details about his identity and current medical status have not been released.
The circumstances surrounding the construction-site accident remain under review.
