Newark, NJ (August 31, 2026) – An employee shuttle bus was involved in an accident at Newark Liberty International Airport early Monday morning, August 31. The crash occurred around 3 a.m. on the Terminal B Departures Level 3 roadway.
Airport officials said multiple people were hurt and taken to nearby hospitals for evaluation and treatment. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Emergency units arrived following the collision. The initial report did not identify what caused the driver to apparently lose control or miss the off-ramp before striking a concrete wall.
The investigation into what led to the wreck remains underway.
