How Do Intersection Crashes Often Lead to Injuries?
Intersections are common locations for crashes because vehicles approach from different directions. Drivers may be turning, stopping, or accelerating at the same time, which increases the risk of impact.
Side-impact and angled collisions can cause significant damage, especially when one vehicle strikes another in the door area. Even at moderate speeds, the force of impact may result in injuries.
Neck and back pain are frequently reported after crashes. Sudden movement during impact can strain muscles and ligaments. In some cases, symptoms may take time to fully appear, making a medical evaluation helpful after a collision.
