Marana, AZ (January 9, 2026) – A hit-and-run crash that resulted in injuries was reported early on Thursday morning in the Foothills area of Pima County. The incident occurred at the intersection of W Placita Futura and W Twin Peaks Rd, just south of the 10450N block, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded to the scene shortly after 12:31 a.m. on January 8 to find that the driver responsible for the collision had fled. The crash caused injuries to at least one individual, though the extent of those injuries has not yet been disclosed.
Emergency medical services were called to assist the injured party, and the scene remained active for several hours while officials collected evidence and began the investigative process. Deputies were still conducting paperwork at the location as of early morning.
