Marion Co, MO (January 25, 2026) – A two-vehicle accident on MO-MM at Veterans Rd on Friday morning resulted in injuries to both drivers and required emergency medical transport, according to local authorities.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:35 a.m. on January 23. According to preliminary reports, a 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer traveling northbound failed to yield and was struck on the passenger side by a westbound 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. Both vehicles sustained total damage and had to be towed from the scene by Scotts Minor Collision.
Crews from Marion County Ambulance and local first responders arrived promptly and worked to assist the injured motorists. A 57-year-old woman driving the Trailblazer and a 63-year-old man behind the wheel of the Malibu were both wearing seat belts and suffered injuries in the crash. Each was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department also assisted at the scene, helping manage traffic and support the cleanup operation. The intersection was partially blocked during the response, though no extended closures were reported.
Troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop B are leading the investigation. Early findings point to a failure to yield as the contributing factor, though further analysis is underway to determine if other conditions may have played a role.
We extend our best wishes for a swift and full recovery to both individuals affected by this accident.
