Injury Concerns After Two-Vehicle Highway Crashes
Two-vehicle crashes on highways can cause injuries even when they are not believed to be life-threatening. The force of impact may lead to pain, bruising, head injuries, or soreness that develops after the crash.
Turning areas near highways can also create traffic challenges. Vehicles might be slowing, crossing lanes, or preparing to enter nearby roads while other traffic continues through the area.
After a crash, medical teams may evaluate drivers for neck pain, back injuries, chest discomfort, and signs of internal trauma. Emergency units may also need to manage debris, damaged vehicles, and lane restrictions before the roadway is fully cleared.
