McDonald, MO (January 11, 2026) – A serious two-vehicle collision occurred on Friday afternoon on Highway 76, approximately one mile south of Wheaton in McDonald County, leaving two people injured and both vehicles totaled.
The crash took place around 2:10 p.m., according to Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The incident involved a northbound 2016 Ford Fusion driven by an 18-year-old man from Exeter, which reportedly failed to yield and struck a 2007 Ford Five Hundred traveling eastbound. The second vehicle was driven by a 79-year-old woman from Lebanon, with an 81-year-old male passenger.
Both occupants of the eastbound Ford sustained injuries. They were transported via EMS to Mercy Hospital for treatment. All individuals involved were reportedly wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The force of the collision caused significant damage to both vehicles, requiring them to be towed from the scene by Brice’s Towing. Authorities remained on site to investigate the crash and clear the roadway.
