Mechanicsville, VA (January 6, 2026) – One person sustained injuries following a traffic accident that occurred outside a local business in Mechanicsville on the afternoon of January 5.
The incident was reported around 4:11 p.m. in the 110 block of Shady Grove Rd, near the Zila Barbershop and the intersections with Hanover Crossing Dr and Chamberlain Rd. Emergency crews, including Medic 406 and Hanover County law enforcement, responded swiftly to the scene.
The accident occurred on January 5 and involved a 32-year-old individual who reported shoulder pain as a result of the collision. EMS evaluated the injury on-site, and while the extent of treatment required has not been publicly disclosed, initial reports indicate it was not life-threatening.
Authorities have not released information about how many vehicles were involved or the events leading up to the crash. Local officers remained on site to ensure traffic safety and begin a routine investigation into the cause.
