Fredericksburg, VA (January 6, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle collision with injuries early on January 5 along Plank Rd in Fredericksburg, temporarily disrupting traffic in the area.
The crash was reported at approximately 2:10 a.m. on the eastbound side of Plank Rd, near the left turn lane leading to I-95. Initial reports from emergency personnel indicated that three to four vehicles were involved in the incident. Multiple medic units and fire crews from Stafford County and Fredericksburg Fire and EMS responded to the scene.
The accident occurred on January 5 and resulted in injuries to at least three adults. One female occupant in a gray Honda minivan reportedly struck her head during the crash and requested medical evaluation. Two additional adults were assessed by paramedics, with one also requesting to be checked out. Additional medic units were called in to assist due to the number of people involved.
Authorities closed lanes one and two on Plank Rd temporarily while responders managed the scene and ensured safety for all parties involved. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and whether any citations will be issued.
