Mesa, AZ (January 25, 2026) – A 13-year-old boy was injured in an e-bike crash on Friday afternoon, January 23, near the intersection of East Baseline Road and Rochester in Mesa.
A deputy from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office came upon the scene shortly before 5:00 p.m. and found the juvenile rider down after an apparent crash involving an electric bicycle. The boy was conscious and reported back pain. Fire and EMS crews were immediately dispatched to evaluate and assist the injured teen.
The incident occurred on January 23 in an area just north of the MCSO substation, along a busy stretch of Baseline Road. It is unclear whether any other vehicles were involved or what led to the crash.
The young rider was assessed on scene, and further medical care was expected depending on his condition.
