Midvale, UT (February 24, 2026) – A man lost his life following a crash involving a passenger car and a box truck on Monday afternoon on Interstate 15 in Midvale. Emergency units responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 23, along the southbound lanes of I-15 near 8300 South.
Officials confirmed that the crash involved two vehicles, including a passenger car and a box truck. The adult male inside the passenger car was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity.
The crash caused closures in the two right lanes of southbound I-15 for several hours while crews worked at the scene. Traffic in the area was delayed as emergency personnel cleared the roadway and began investigating the collision.
