West Sacramento, CA (September 9, 2026) ā Minor injuries were reported after a four-vehicle traffic collision on westbound Interstate 80 near Reed Ave.
The California Highway Patrol reported the collision around 2:52 p.m. near Reed Avenue. The vehicles included a gray Fiat 500, black Mercedes Sprinter van, silver Ford C-Max, and another unidentified vehicle.
The vehicles blocked the No. 1 and No. 2 lanes following a rear-end collision. The roadway was reported slippery, and vehicle fluids required absorbent material to address the roadway hazard.
CHP later changed the classification from a traffic collision with medical assistance en route to a minor-injury collision. Multiple tow trucks were requested, and crews eventually cleared the roadway.Ā The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
