Hemet, CA (September 9, 2026) – A motorcyclist was injured in an accident on Tuesday evening, September 8, at Sanderson Avenue and Florida Avenue in Hemet. The crash was reported around 6:32 p.m.
Witnesses reported that the motorcycle was struck by a vehicle, throwing the rider through the air. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The female driver of the car was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Southbound Sanderson Avenue remained closed from Devonshire Avenue to Florida Avenue as responders worked at the site.
A witness reported that the traffic signals had been changing or flashing unexpectedly, but that claim was not independently confirmed. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
