Mobile, AL (January 31, 2026) – A serious traffic collision involving a person trapped inside a vehicle was reported on January 30 along Schillinger Rd South near the 500 block. The crash occurred around 4:56 p.m. between Thomas Rd and Leiter Ave and prompted a major response from multiple fire and rescue units. Heavy rescue crews and district leadership were also dispatched to assist with the entrapment.
Upon arrival, responders worked to safely extricate the trapped individual from the vehicle. The full extent of the person’s injuries has not been released. Traffic in the area was impacted while emergency teams conducted rescue operations and secured the scene.
