What Factors Are Often Reviewed in Horse and Buggy Collision Cases?
After crashes involving vehicles and horse-drawn buggies, investigators typically examine road layout, visibility, and traffic patterns at the time of the incident. Hills, curves, and limited sight distance are often reviewed to determine how quickly each party could react.
The condition of the roadway and lighting can also help explain how the collision occurred. Even during daylight hours, elevation changes or obstructions may reduce visibility for drivers approaching from either direction.
Information from vehicle damage and occupant positioning is also commonly used to reconstruct events. These details help clarify impact points and movement leading up to the crash.
