Detroit, MI (July 27, 2026) – Two Detroit officers were hurt in a collision early on Saturday morning, July 25, while responding to an emergency call near Fenkell Avenue and Schaefer Highway. The crash happened around 12:30 a.m.
A driver suspected of being under the influence of alcohol failed to yield at a red light and turned in front of the officers’ vehicle, causing the crash. The driver was arrested and taken to a hospital. The two officers were treated for their injuries and later released. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
